2019 Lok Sabha elections

The Samajwadi Party on Tuesday eliminated the potential of any alliances for that 2019 general elections “as of now”, PTI reported.

Its president and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav stated strengthening the party’s organisation and it is election bank was his priority. “The 2019 elections are extremely crucial because the message from Uttar Pradesh will visit the whole country,” he stated. “As of now, I'm not considering an alliance with any party.”

This may come as not so good news for that Congress, which in fact had contested the Set up elections in Uttar Pradesh in alliance using the Samajwadi Party in 2017. The Bharatiya Janata Party won an astonishing 321 seats within the polls, as the SP-Congress alliance bagged only 54.

“It [alliance talks and seat negotiations] wastes considerable time, and that i shouldn't maintain confusion [over seats],” Yadav stated, adding the Samajwadi Party could bargain in a later stage if the alliance materialises because there was considerable time prior to the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.

The previous chief minister stated he was available to “friendships” with like-minded parties, and the man could be getting a rath yatra across Uttar Pradesh to mobilise party workers soon. Yadav also stated the Samajwadi Party would contest the elections where its organisation was strong.

“We possess a strong organisational base in Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh,” he stated. “We will also be employed in Uttarakhand and Rajasthan.”

Yadav also claimed that within the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Set up elections, it had been the Bahujan Samaj Party’s election bank, and not the Samajwadi Party’s, which had now use the BJP. “The people still remember my regime and therefore are now realising their mistake,” he stated.

Even though the electorate gave the BJP an opportunity, it's unsuccessful, Yadav stated. “The Adityanath government has failed… They're just transporting our work forward by setting up their plaques,” he added.
